a1 in 40 gradient is adoptrel & Quain laiurd a distance of 15,150 ft. as an up grade, for 15870 as a downre grade.
On this gradient- there are to tunnels, aggregating 2750ft in Bugth or day 920 Bards. The last is approached by two 50 Curves (severe) containing 144 and 163 of Curvature dispretively.
A viaduct requiring
